U.S. meat festival ‘Meatopia’ arrives in London

It has recently been announced that a unique event held in every year in the U.S. will be bringing its paradise over to the UK this year. Described as one of America’s biggest ‘meat and BBQ’ festivals and meat lover’s paradise, Meatopia is officially coming to London in September.

Being launched by top meat chef Richard Turner, the London event will feature BBQ meats, music, alcohol, and the chance for attendees to witness some of both the UK and the U.S.’ favourite meats being cooked right in front of them. Guests are encouraged to eat as much as they can and show their appreciation to the top chefs cooking at the event.

The annual American Meatopia festival was originally started by Josh Ozersky of Time magazine in 2007, where it has since attracted some of the biggest chefs across the country. Richard Turner has brought it to the UK due to his love of barbecues, and it is hoped that this event will become an annual festival within the UK, which includes an exciting line up of both UK and U.S. chefs.

The festival is said to be a must visit for meat lovers, especially those that love British food, as all the meat will be supplied by British farms, so visitors can probably expect to see gourmet sausages and top class BBQ meats. Tickets are currently on sale, and they include entry to the festival, access to the entertainment and food, as well as two dishes and drinks.
